Marks needed for 50,000 rank in NEET

An All India Rank of 50,000 has needed about 502 marks out of 720 in an average year. How hard the paper is moves this a lot, so here are all three cases.

483Marks, tough paper (like 2025)
502Marks, average paper
520Marks, easier paper (like 2026)

What a rank of 50,000 means

Government MBBS is possible through state quota in many states, more so for reserved categories. Government BDS is likely. OBC, SC and ST students get seats at much higher (worse) ranks than General students, and state quotas vary a lot from state to state, so use this as a first check, not a final answer.

The gap between an easy and a tough year is 37 marks at this rank. In NEET that's about 7 questions, which is why a score that felt good in 2025 would have meant a much lower rank in 2026.

These are estimates based on NEET 2025 and 2026 results. Your official rank comes from NTA. Use this to set a target, not to fix counselling choices.
