627Marks, easier paper (like 2026)

What a rank of 2,000 means

This is AIIMS and top-government-college territory for most categories. OBC, SC and ST students get seats at much higher (worse) ranks than General students, and state quotas vary a lot from state to state, so use this as a first check, not a final answer.

The gap between an easy and a tough year is 34 marks at this rank. In NEET that's about 7 questions, which is why a score that felt good in 2025 would have meant a much lower rank in 2026.

These are estimates based on NEET 2025 and 2026 results. Your official rank comes from NTA. Use this to set a target, not to fix counselling choices.
